Technical Information
The software system can be used on smartphones and/or tablets running Android or iOS. On the patient or client side, Android 5.0 or iOS 12 or later is required to record the marker intake video. On the healthcare professional side, Android 5.0 or iOS 12 or later is required.
To ensure a secure, tamper-resistant data connection between healthcare professionals and patients or clients, all data is exchanged exclusively via servers using blockchain technology and AES-256 encryption. Patient or client data can only be accessed by the responsible healthcare professionals. Ruma has no access to the transmitted data at any time.
The backend is provided by AWS. All servers used are located within the territorial scope of the GDPR.
In addition, the Ruma website must be accessible, as certain information requests from Ruma Digital-System (Pro) redirect users to the Ruma website.
Updates and new versions are available from the respective app store. If automatic updates are enabled in your device settings, updates will be installed automatically. If updates cannot be installed automatically, the app will notify you when a new version is available. You will then need to download and install the update manually from the respective app store.
